DemCap Classroom

DemCap Classroom is a project currently in development that is supported by generous donors and grants. This website will be accessible free of charge to anyone who wants to learn more about Democracy, Capitalism, and the intersection of the two. Explore more about our plan and progress below.

 

DemCap Classroom is set to open to the public in the Fall of 2026.

Definitions and Introductions

DemCap Classroom will host a variety of introductory videos and articles that explain what Democracy and Capitalism are and why they're important to today's society.

Core Concepts

DemCap Classroom will cover seven core concepts of democracy and eight core concepts of capitalism, supported by academic research. These core concepts will be explained through interactive visual tools, as well as articles.

Lesson Plans and Activities

DemCap Classroom will be home to a Lesson Plans hub, perfect for teachers to implement in their classrooms. These lesson plans are being developed by our teacher community, and include case studies, activity suggestions, and grab-and-go ideas.

Primary Sources

DemCap Classroom will also host a plethora of primary sources that examine democracy and capitalism. These primary sources will include an image of the source, a transcript, and inquiry questions.

DemCap Analytics will be relocated and hosted under DemCap Classroom—a perfect primary source for students, teachers, and individuals to explore the power of statistics and data.
